what we collect, what we don't

Privacy

Last updated — May 2026

We keep the data we collect minimal, on purpose. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What We Collect

When you purchase, we receive your email address and billing country from our payment processor. We also collect basic analytics about the site (pages visited, device type, country-level location) — no personal content, no cross-site tracking.

What We Don’t Collect

We do not track or store the cards you view, in what order, or with whom. The conversations you have with your partner stay between you. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.

Processors We Rely On

Payments are processed by Stripe (see their privacy policy). Stripe sends purchase receipts. Magic links to your library are delivered via Resend using cupid.cards’s verified domain. Hosting is Vercel. Analytics are aggregated and anonymous. Each of these processes minimal data strictly needed to operate the service.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for session handling and purchase validation. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or fingerprinting. Stripe checkout and Meta Ads (if you arrive from an ad) may set their own cookies — both governed by their respective privacy policies.

Data Retention

Purchase records are kept for 7 years to comply with tax and accounting obligations. Beyond that, records are anonymized or deleted.

International Transfers

Data may be processed on servers outside your country. We rely on standard contractual clauses and the processors above for lawful international transfer.

Children’s Privacy

cupid.cards is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Your Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the data tied to your email at any time. You can also object to certain processing. Email hello@cupid.cards — we respond within 7 days.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we’ll email customers and update the date above.
